ARTIST STATEMENT

Art has been a part of my life since I was five years old. It gave me confidence and passion, and helped me to communicate without a word. Art changed me as a person, from a shy girl who did not know how to express myself to a confident girl who can use my interest in art to observe everything around me and create unique artworks. I love art, especially painting. I love to paint everything around me, whether it is a building, a landscape or a telephone. I painted this telephone piece because I love how  the light reflected on the metal and how the objects in the background made the telephone stand out. Making the metal look realistic was really a challenge and I needed to be patient. Therefore, I blended the color and the details carefully. This painting took me a long time to finish, but the final  result came out like I wanted.  I appreciate the joy and achievement that art gave me and the challenges that I overcame to create this piece.
