The 2018 CAEA-SDC Art Teacher Grant is open to any California Art Education Association San Diego Chapter member who has submitted her/his students’ art work to the 2018 Youth Art Month Exhibition. This $500 grant may be used by the recipient for any professional development purposes as a visual arts educator. For example, professional development purposes can be college classes, studio workshops, conferences, art making tools, and art making materials. The winner of this grant is required to write a reflection on how he/she has used the grant to develop her/his artist and educator and how this grant impacted the learning of her/his students. This reflection will be posted on CAEASD’s website.
By accepting the grant, the winner will spend this grant as stipulated in his/her application essay’s goals within 12 consecutive months of announcement at the YAM Closing Reception. Any remainder of the grant not spent on the application essay's goals within 12 consecutive months of announcement at the YAM Closing Reception must be returned to CAEASD. Lastly, the winner's failure to meet any of these grant conditions is subject to a five year ban from participating in this Visual Arts Educator Development Grant.
Please note that prior Educator Grant recipients must wait five years to submit an application. Also, the Educator Grant application review committee reserves the right to not elect a recipient if the applications do not meet our requirements..
