The 2021-22 CAEA San Diego County K-8 Student Art Exhibit sponsored by the California Art Education Association of San Diego (CAEASD) and supported by SDCOE was on view from April 4-28, 2022 at the Mission Valley branch of the San Diego Public Library.
This exhibit highlighted the visual art education in San Diego schools, showcased art teachers' skills, and the impact their work has had on their students and the community. Publicly displaying students' artworks engaged parents, art education advocates, and community members in the conversation about the impact of visual art. It gave students an opportunity to take pride in their work and appreciate the art of others displayed.
This year we had a total of 76 works on view with students from 6 different school districts in San Diego County. The reception was held on April 28 and had a great turnout of students, families, and art educators.
