Dear San Diego County Visual Art Educators,
I am pleased to invite you to submit your student artworks for the 2021-22 CAEA San Diego County K-8 Student Art Exhibit. This exhibition is being sponsored by the California Art Education Association of San Diego (CAEASD) and supported by the San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) and will be on view from April 4th to 28th at the Mission Valley branch of the San Diego Public Library.
This exhibit will highlight the visual art education in San Diego schools, showcase art teachers' skills and the impact their work has on their students and the community. Publicly displaying students' artworks, will engage parents, art education advocates, and community members in the conversation about the impact of visual art. It will give students an opportunity to take pride in their work and appreciate the art of others displayed.
We are interested in displaying two-dimensional media, (paintings, pastels, graphite, mixed-media, photography, digital art etc.). Due to space/safety limitations at the library at this time, we cannot display three-dimensional artwork.
The exhibition will end with a closing reception on Thursday, April 28th from 4:30-5:30 p.m. at the Mission Valley library community room located at 2123 Fenton Pkwy, San Diego, CA 92108. At the end of the reception the artists are asked to take their work home with them.
