ARTIST STATEMENT

Photography has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. Being behind a camera has taught me to see beauty in the small things in life.  Silence is beauty. I also love to engage in louder activities such as football and lacrosse. The energy I receive from my coaches and mentors help me to give one hundred percent on the field. One of my biggest passions is surfing. I love to forget about anything troubling me and go out to sea. Combining  photography and surfing allows me to show others the beauty I see. Everyone should experience the serenity of the water.  My name is Jason Siaosi and the biggest thing I’ve learned in my sixteen years is that beauty is everywhere. You just have to open your eyes to see it. “Tamarack” is a photograph taken in the beautiful Carlsbad, California with my GoPro Hero 3.
